About Mike Sokolik
To most of the trading community that knows him, Mike Sokolik is “MBox Mike”.
He is an ex-Silicon Valley Senior Software Engineer with over 15 years of experience at big, high-tech companies like Sun Microsystems and Oracle Corporation. Being a Senior Engineer pays well into the 6-figures and comes with generous stock options. The problem was that Sokolik got really bored and hated the routine of working on projects that did not interest him. In the end, these projects only fed the bottom line of the company.
He found himself thinking, “is this really what I want to do with my life?”. He didn’t actually need the job or the money – and could support himself long enough without an income – so he quit! When Sokolik announced his decision, the director of the company congratulated him.
This was the beginning of a journey that ultimately led him to the creation and development of the MBoxWave Trading System – and total financial independence.
