What is order spoofing, and can it be detected with market analysis tools? Helder of Trading OrderFlow discusses this form of market manipulation in his webinar A Toolset Approach to Trading with OrderFlow, and how this activity can be identified on a price ladder.

Helder describes spoofing as “adding artificial orders to the order book and not having any intention whatsoever of getting filled on one of the sides. This will create a false and artificial representation of liquidity in the market.”
